Brass Fusion performance for the Royal Society of St George @ Henfield Hall

‘England expects that every man will do his duty’

Thus, Admiral Nelson inspired his men before the battle of Trafalgar in 1805. Sussex Branch of the Royal Society of St George is marking the occasion by a Brass Fusion concert on Saturday 23 October 2021 in the Henfield Hall. Tickets at £10 are available from Christina’s, High Street, Henfield. The bar will open at 7pm and the concert starts at 7.30pm. Monies raised will be distributed to local charities.

Acrylics demonstration: Henfield Art Club @ Henfield Hall

Come and join Henfield Art Club where Hannah Bruce will be demonstrating painting shiny things in acrylics and will talk to us about promoting our art businesses on social media. Hannah is a professional and award winning artist from Woking. Since 2013 she has been creating original artworks in a range of mediums which she sells all over the world. The demonstration takes place in the Main Hall, Henfield Village Hall, on Tuesday 26 October at 7 for 7,15pm. New members and guests may purchase tickets on the door. ‘Wildcats’ Girls Football Training @ Rothery Field

The club would love to welcome any new players to its Wildcats section which caters for five to 11 year olds, with new recruits for the under-nine team especially needed with a busy schedule of tournaments expected over the next few months.

The club is also keen to attract older girls looking to try football for the first time as it launches a new under-14 team for next season.

Training takes place at Rothery Field on Nep Town Road on Wednesday evenings with Wildcats from 4.45pm and older age groups from 6pm. For more information please email henfieldfcgirls@gmail.com

Henfield Art Club are pleased to announce their 38th Annual Art Exhibition. Once a year both professional and amateur members of the Club join together to exhibit their work in Henfield Village Hall. The weekend event starts on Friday 29 October at 7 – 9pm and continues over Saturday and Sunday.

Two awards are voted for at the Exhibition: the Garside Award is a public vote for the ‘Picture of the Year’ and the Al Salvage Trophy is a members vote award for the ‘Best Exhibit’, including 3D works. The main hall is taken over by the art club and stewarded by its members. The entire hall accommodates the show and visitors have the opportunity of meeting the artists and discussing their work, technique and inspiration.

The event is free and open to the public for the entire weekend so please come and join us and vote for which you feel is the ‘Perfect Picture’. For more information please contact newsletter@henfieldartclub.co.uk
