Henfield Birdwatch Autumn Big Bird Bash @ Henfield Area, various walks
Oct 4 all-day
Henfield Birdwatch Autumn Big Bird Bash @ Henfield Area, various walks | Henfield | England | United Kingdom

Lots of people combed the countryside on the five Spring Big Bird Bash walks and clocked up an amazing 69 species which has set a massive target to be beaten this Autumn when we are at it again over the weekend of 2nd – 4th October.

Everyone is welcome to join in and you don’t have to know anything about birds as the walks are fun anyway! Hopefully the leaders will be able to identify what we see or hear and if not they will probably pretend they can. Henfield Birdwatch members will receive details nearer the time. For anyone else just ring Nigel Colgate 01273 493037 or e mail nigel.colgate@btinternet.com

Oct 5 @ 7:00 pm

Henfield Garden Club Celebrity Speaker

Covid restrictions permitting, our Autumn programme of speakers begins on Tuesday, 5th October, 7pm for 7.30pm start at the Henfield Hall, when we welcome celebrity gardener Andy Sturgeon, winner of The Best Show Garden at Chelsea in 2019 and twice voted one of the top 10 gardeners in the UK. His talk ‘The Making of the Modern Garden’ is an informative, entertaining and humorous look at the history of garden design, cramming over 2,000 years into a few minutes to explain how modern gardens evolved and how his work fits into garden design today.

Henfield Garden Club members may attend free of charge. Members must register by email for a place before 5 September to carolyn@wineflow. plus.com to receive a confirmation email. We may have extra places available to non-members at a cost of £10 per ticket on a first-come first-served basis. Please note that these places will not be allocated until after 8th September.
