Please come and join the very informal ‘Friday Friends’ to play short mat bowls. The game is basically the same as lawn bowls except that we keep dry even on wet days! A good place to come on a damp winter morning. We have four ‘mats’ which accommodate up to 32 players, so usually everyone that turns up gets a game. This is a really friendly group of bowls enthusiasts and the game is not expensive – we pay £3 for the morning, which includes coffee. We are not a formal club, but a cooperative group of enthusiastic and friendly players.
Join us for the Wakehurst Family and Toddler run! All participants will receive a medal upon completion of the challenge.
Experience Wakehurst in new ways as our wild botanic garden becomes a unique backdrop for a season-long series of running, cycling and dog walking events. Reach your new personal best, or simply take in the scenery with your furry friends.
The 5km running event will take place at 8:30am on 3rd July. The now sold out 8km will take place at 6pm on the 13th July and the Family and Toddler Run will take place at 9:30am on 3rd September.
