The annual Henfield Joggers ‘Seven Stiles’ fun run is held in association with Henfield Leisure Centre and kindly sponsored yet again by Coles Automotive. Last year we had close to 600 adult and Junior runners for the races, which start and finish at Henfield Leisure Centre, the youngest being just 4 years old!
The 1 Mile event will start at 10:15am, and while optimised for our younger runners there really is no age barrier, so it’s ideal for mums and dads to jog alongside their children, or run it as your own challenge! The main 4 mile event is at 11am, and is entirely off road, via the Downs Link and along the bank of the River Adur before returning to the Leisure Centre. This is where the Seven Stiles originally got its name, but as the years have gone by there are actually quite a few less than seven now, see how many you can count! All our Junior finishers will receive a medal, and coffee and cake will be available at the Leisure Centre for those needing a ‘pick me up’ afterwards. More details can be found at henfieldjoggers.co.uk, from where entry forms can be downloaded, or picked up from Henfield Leisure Centre.
As in previous years we will have a dedicated group of car parking marshals around Northcroft who will control the flow and direct traffic. We always encourage visitors to use the main High Street car parks that Sunday morning. Nonetheless we apologise in advance for any disruption that may occur, and we promise to keep this to an absolute minimum.
Plans are well under way for the annual Fulking Fair. This will incorporate an Allsorts Dog Rescue fun dog show. Attractions will include teas and cakes in the village hall, children’s play area, pony rides, tombola, Shepherd & Dog bar, live music ,puppet show, tattoo painting and many stalls.
Further details will follow nearer the time.
