OuiBead are a small group of enthusiastic beaders. We teach all techniques relating to bead weaving and wire work, making a range of beautiful jewellery; from earrings to necklaces, bracelets and more.  We teach how to make various patterns using a range of materials associated with bead weaving.

The charge for classes usually £10 per session, which is payable upon attendance. There will also be a small additional cost for materials.

It’s fun and absorbing!

Women of all ages are welcome to join us. You may like to pop along to one of our meetings as a visitor at first, to find out more about becoming a full member.

We usually welcome a speaker at our meetings, and we aim to cover a wide range of interesting topics in our Programme. We end our meetings with some social time when we enjoy a cup of tea and cake! In addition, we have groups for members to join, such as walking, craft and Scrabble, and we are always open to further suggestions which might prove to be popular. We have an elected Committee to lead the group locally, and hold an Annual meeting when there are opportunities for new members to join the Committee. We look forward to welcoming visitors and new members to our meetings.

Join Raymond for an afternoon tasting the unique wines from our sister estate, Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate, and a step-by-step paint class in our Courtyard Café to create a Leonardslee-themed masterpiece.

No experience is necessary, just bring your willingness to be creative.

‘Creating an Imaginary World’ – The Arts Society, Steyning @ The Steyning Centre

The Arts Society, Steyning, is pleased to present this month’s lecture – ‘Creating an Imaginary World; Theatre Design From Temple to Playhouse, into the Picture Frame and Out Again’ by Bertie Pearce.

Theatre design is one of the world’s most beautiful, varied and lively art forms. This lecture looks at the relationship between actor and audience and how this transformed the space and architecture of theatre throughout the ages.

The Arts Society, Henfield – ‘When Horses Ran London’ @ The Henfield Hall

Charlie Forman will highlight the history of the relationship between the horse and London, showing us some of the relics and remains still visible today, from drinking troughs to a horse hospital.
