Sustainable Henfield 2030 @ Henfield Haven

Sustainable Henfield 2030 will have regular social evenings where we will have guest speakers and also update local people on the progress of our group. This one is the first (7 for 7.30) and will see the launch of the campaign to “Make Henfield Plastic Free”.

Everyone with an interest in Henfield is welcome and it will be a good opportunity for our members to get an update on our progress since our launch meeting in September.

The Chindit Operations 1943-1944 @ Henfield Hall

Following on from last year’s lecture on Colditz Castle Piers Storie-Pugh returns to the extraordinary endeavours of the Chindits behind Japanese lines in Burma. Their exploits live on and are up there in the catalogue of astonishing achievements. A talk hosted by the Friends of St Giles.

The club caters for anyone interested in using and getting more from their computing devices. Members bring their own iPads, Android Tablets and Laptops for advice and assistance from our mentors and each other. If you don’t own a computer but would like advice on what would be suitable, we are ahppy to offer advice. Periodically we run special sessions on specific topics. The sessions will run alongside the usual club meetings. Our special sessions are posted on our  Henfield Computer Club  entry.

We have a team of enthusiastic and knowledgeable mentors to assist, in a friendly informal atmosphere. There is always time for a coffee break and chat.

We would also welcome new mentors. If you have a reasonable knowledge of computing on whichever device, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Tree Dressing Day @ Woods Mill
Dec 7 @ 10:00 am – 12:00 pm

Come along to Woods Mill to celebrate our tree-mendous trees. Join us on a walk through the wood and search for the creatures that call it home. Mould a clay tea-light lamp and collect natural materials to make a willow wreath to take home with you. Gather together around the giant oak tree and enjoy a hot chocolate. Suitable for children aged 5-11. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Booking essential.
