A big thank you to all the people who donated to the current Ukraine appeal and also those who helped in any way, especially all the steady support and help in preparing the boxes and also to the wonderful BP Guild drivers for their support in organising the transport of the boxes to the Hope and Aid Direct warehouse in Essex where trucks depart loaded for the Ukraine border.
On 2 November we sent 42 banana boxes, one large box and two builders bags which contained sleeping bags, camping gaz stoves, blankets, dry and tinned food, baby food, hygiene items and nappies. We also received cash donations which we turned into gaz stoves and a large quantity of food which we purchased in Cornerweighs (and received a very generous discount). I was delighted to see a collection box in Ropetackle in Shoreham and we even received aid from a table tennis and tennis club in Lancing and Steyning
