Henfield Tennis Club has been awarded coveted 'Clubmark' accreditation by the Lawn Tennis Association. Tony Jackson, club vice-chairman, received the award from Liz Bartlett of Sussex LTA.
He and ex-chairman Wendy Whittaker painstakingly put together all the required documentation, practices and controls necessary to achieve this award, which has great significance for the tennis club. The process included drawing up many volumes of documents and manuals, setting up approved LTA coaching for juniors and attending a variety of courses on Child Protection, Diversity and Safety and Wellbeing.
