Henfield Youth Club Tournament Success

The Henfield Football Youth Tournament returned in May after a three-year gap, to glorious sunshine and huge crowds of supporters and competitors. It was fantastic to see Henfield residents come out to support the event, watching great talent displays from age groups U6 to U15, playing football with enormous smiles on their faces. We were proud to be able to bring the Sussex youth footballing community together.

Winning teams were awarded their trophies on a stage to the soundtrack of champions league music, this helped make the young players feel extra special.

Sam Witherden, co-chairman said: “The feedback we have had from the village and from teams entering has been amazing, one club from Eastbourne took the time to write us saying that it was the best tournament they had ever entered, the vibe and organisation was first class and that they can’t wait to return next year. We would like to thank all our sponsorship partners and our great team of volunteers on both days who helped to make the event such a success.”

Planning for next years’ event has already started and the club is already looking forward to welcoming teams back and inviting teams from further afield to participate in Henfield Football Club’s showcase event of the year.
