Russian Paintings: The Silver Age 1879

Thursday 25th April 2024 at 10:30

Our topic for the day will be 19th Century Russian painting, which broke the stifling constraints of academic art teaching and reflected pre-Revolutionary Russia. Increasing interest in music and dance led to The Ballets Russes under Diaghilev in 1917.

Jane Angelini, a very accomplished lecturer is a familiar face to The Arts Society Henfield members, will be presenting the lectures.
This is a full day of lectures, including tea and coffee, and a light sandwich lunch.

Tickets at £30.00 will be on sale at the April 8th meeting or contact Rosemary Nice on 01273 492221. Please complete the booking form on the website.
