Henfield Shed

Friday 3rd May 2024 at 09:59–13:00

Since the Henfield Shed opened its doors in 2017 we have made a positive difference in the local community by helping prevent loneliness and isolation amongst  local adults at risk by providing a support that benefit these groups.

The Henfield Shed is located in premises behind the Southdown Gallery in the High Street. We provide a fully equipped wood working workshop to enable members who have received the prescribed safety training to engage in making and repairing goods for local residents and community groups. The essence of the working practices is to create a welcoming and listening atmosphere where friendships can develop, skills can be learnt from one another and the opportunities arise to help and support each other.

We meet three times a week and last year alone we successfully completed 182 individual projects ranging from simple repairs to furniture restoration. We also carried out 9 projects for the wider village community.

Come and join us!
