It’s the summer of 1940. Britain is on the back foot after Dunkirk and there is a real fear of fifth columnists, bombing and an invasion by Germany. One advantage for Britain is its Radar system, which gave early warning of aircraft attacks from the German air force (The Luftwaffe) and was to prove so valuable in the forthcoming Battle of Britain. However Germany also has it’s eye on Radar and wants to find out more!
“The Enemy at my Door” written especially for The Players by Drew Richardson is a World War II drama. This is an exciting new venture for The Players in that it takes the form of a radio play, staged in front of a live audience. It also happens to coincide with the 100th anniversary year of the very first radio play performed by the BBC!
