‘REWILDING THE KNEPP ESTATE’
by Jason Emrich, Estate Manager & Penny Green, Estate Ecologist.
A fascinating conservation project which started in 2003. With the depressing decline in Britain’s wildlife, this is one of the most successful and exciting wildlife conservation projects in the UK and indeed Europe. It is truly wonderful and should fill us all with hope!

‘BUGS EAT BUGS’
by Steve Bradley, TV and Radio Broadcaster
Steve can be heard regularly answering gardening questions on Radio Sussex, Surrey and Kent. He’ll be entertaining us with how biological control is used to destroy pests. Familiar sprays are being withdrawn from the market so it’s a time to look at alternatives and keep our edible plants free from chemicals.

THURSDAY 25th APRIL

‘PREPARING FOR YOUR SHOW’
Barry Newman our President, RHS Judge and local grower will be giving advice on preparing and staging on a wide selection of vegetables, fruit and flowers. There will be tips on how to get the best out of your exhibits and what the judges are looking for. If showings not for you this talk could make judges out of you all in one hour!

Vince has been in professional horticulture all of his working life. An author and garden guide in the UK and abroad. He has been involved in the Chelsea Flower Show and is a judge for South and South East in Bloom. His horticultural knowledge is extensive. This talk should inspire us and give us lots of ideas on how to create autumn colour in our own gardens.
