Henfield Ukulele Group

Every Thursday at 1:30-3:30pm

The Henfield Ukulele Group was formed in 2019 and is a playing and singing group. We play a mix of popular songs that are easier to play & sing and that are suited to the ukulele. We play all sizes of ukuleles and all levels of experience are welcome. The focus of the sessions is on learning to play and sing the songs from a growing song book; we all work together to improve everyone’s playing techniques and singing. Some of the songs are more challenging.

The subscription for each session is £5 per person, including tea and biscuits. Surplus funds are donated to charities chosen by the members.

Players of other instruments, including guitars, banjos, mandolins and others, as well as non- playing vocalists can join. The sessions are two hours, allowing for about one hour’s playing time plus a break for tea and socialising.

We have a large, light and airy room in the Church Hall adjoining a small garden. The group gives the opportunity for people with dementia and their carers to attend free of charge.
