Henfield Tennis Club is a club with a long tradition, providing social and competitive tennis for all ages. For us, it’s not all about serious training: we love it when our teams win, but we’re just as enthusiastic about our groups that simply meet for fun. We have recently resurfaced our courts and installed modern LED floodlighting.
Youth tennis continues to flourish at the Club under the guidance of LTA qualified coaches Jörg and Keith. There are six term time sessions throughout the week, four at the club and two in the adjacent leisure centre. These cater for pre-schoolers all the way to under 18’s. Children can sign up on the website for one of the regular coaching sessions which are run on Monday, Thursday or Friday afternoons - after school hours for primary / secondary pupils. Keith organises regular tournaments (approx. 8 per annum) for the under 8s, under 9s and under 10s, so that children get the opportunity to play competitive tennis.
Membership of Henfield Tennis Club is fantastic value with junior annual membership from just £23 and adult annual membership at just £131, with a number of other options available for families, older juniors and students. This gives members: unlimited use of club facilities 365 days per year; access to coaching from our licensed LTA coaches at favourable rates; entitlement to attend club social tennis sessions; social and fundraising events throughout the year; entry into club league matches, tournaments and ladder events; and access to the pavilion. The club sessions are held on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings including public holidays.
Our courts are also open to the public for a competitive fee. Booking / payment details are contained on our website. Our mini – court can also be accessed at no charge to encourage young children to take up the game.
We have a growing membership of around 150 and welcome new members across the age and ability spectrum.
