The club was formed in 1963 when members were working mainly with black and white prints and 35mm slides. Today, over half a century later, all of our members work with digital equipment, using a variety of different cameras including DSLRs, compacts, bridge cameras and even iPhones.
We currently have thirty-five members ranging from complete beginners to those with many years experience. We aim to encourage and support members, whatever their age, level of ability and experience, helping them to enjoy their photography, alongside other members, in a friendly and social setting. Beginners are always welcome.
Henfield Camera Club is affiliated to the Regnum Crouch Group, The Sussex Photographic Federation and The Surrey Photographic Association. Henfield Camera Club participates in a number of external competitions.
Our season starts from mid-September until the end of May. There is a modest annual subscription of £20 for Full Members (those wishing to enter competitions) and £10 for Social Members. In addition, there is a small attendance fee of £3 per evening. Visitors are always very welcome to attend our meetings at a small charge of £4, Tea and coffee is provided.
Our programme includes invited speakers, demonstrations, competitions, practical work, summer outings and social activities, including an annual dinner.

16 Nov Members Evening : 4 table top workshops to improve members skills in various photographic tasks.
30 Nov Second Competition. Set Subject “Looking Up”, judged by Mike Warren ARPS. This is Mike’s first visit to Henfield.
14 Dec Photo hunt results presented by Peter Meares followed by Christmas Social and an opportunity to exchange Christmas cards!
4 Jan Member’s AVs. An opportunity for members who make Audio Visuals to share some of their work with us.
18 Jan Third Competition. Open Subject to be judged by local man Graham Smith ARPS.
1 Feb Mix and Match. The return of the popular BN5 v The Rest with Steve Lawrenson ARPS APAGB as judge.

29 Mar 10 for 10. Members show up to 10 images and chat about them for up to 10 minutes or you may show more but remember the 10 minute limit!!
12 April Small Print Panel Competition. Panels of up to six prints max size 7 inches x 5 inches to be judged by members.
