Henfield Bell Ringers

Wednesdays at 7.45pm

The “Band”, as we are known, is the group who rings the church bells of St Peter’s in Henfield. We practice on a Wednesday evening and ring for the Sunday morning services, also for special occasions, weddings and national celebrations.

We have eight bells in the tower, they were 100yrs old in 2013. Records show there have been bells in St Peter’s since 1607. In 1913 the bells left Henfield and travelled to Loughborough to the foundry of John Taylor & Co, where they were melted down and recast into the bells we have today .

There has always been a strong tradition of ringing in Henfield and we would like it to continue, hopefully for another 100 years or more!

If you are interested in learning to ring and making new friends, we always welcome new ringers, come along on a Wednesday to join the Henfield Bell Ringers at 7:45pm or contact Alison ( Tower Captain).
