For such a small village club, Cowfold certainly punch above their weight, fielding four men’s teams (including Sunday League) and a ladies team. The Firsts play in the Southern Combination League Division 2 which plays teams from across three counties, Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex.
The ladies team play on a Sunday afternoon (kick-off is 2pm if you fancy popping along to support one of their home games). They have a thriving squad of 19 players who train on a Wednesday evening and play in the South East Counties Women’s League, across Surrey, Sussex and Kent.
If you’re at a loose end on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon do come along and watch a home game and have a cup of tea on the touchline. But watch out – it’s addictive!
