Rainbows is for girls aged 5-7, who are eager to learn though fun whilst enjoying many activities, making new friends, learning new skills, but above all having fun. Rainbows now can also earn badges, such as animal lover and storyteller!

We currently have some spaces at all levels, so if your daughter would like to join us, just register her here.

All of this would not be possible without the volunteers who run the units, and we really do need more people to come and join us, to help provide these wonderful opportunities to the girls and young women of Henfield.  Even if you can’t commit to helping every week (for just 2 hours), there are other areas where we need help. If you have some time to offer, please get in touch.

Girlguiding has a long history in Henfield: the first Guide unit was set up in 1917, followed by Brownies in 1918, Rangers in 1921 and Rainbows in 1988. But things have changed enormously over the years and Girlguiding is constantly updating and adapting their programmes to make them relevant to todays’ girls and young women. Where once girls might have been encouraged to learn how to cook and clean, now they are learning about things such as recycling, inventing, digital design, mixology and vlogging!
