Grand Henfield Theatre Company Costume Sale
Now that we see the prospect of going out to parties again (remember those?) here comes a great opportunity to pick up some amazing costumes. Henfield Theatre Company (HTC) will be holding a costume sale in The Henfield Hall, 10am-1pm on Saturday 18 September.
In November 2020, HTC moved their costume wardrobe to smaller premises and did a cull of their stock. The smaller sized costumes were donated to St Peter’s School, some went to charity and some to the University of Brighton Fashion department. However, they saved the best for the Costume sale! There will be items from pantos, historical dramas and more recent 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s wear. Refreshments will be available too.
The rationalisation of HTC’s costume store does not mean that there will be any less activity on the Henfield stage – far from it. Right now, the company is in rehearsal for The Government Inspector, an intriguing comedy of errors, which runs for four performances from 14 – 16 October (including a Saturday matinée). After that we can look forward to more zany fun in Treasure Island, the Panto, which goes on stage in mid-January 2022. For more information www.henfieldtheatrecompany.com.
